Lauren ConradLauren Conrad will not be coming back to reality TV it turns out. MTV has dropped the option to air her show after they filmed a bunch of episodes. This is most likely because Lauren is not a poor and pregnant teacher. That seems to be the main reason MTV probably passed on the show since that is primarily what the network focuses on now with the occasional episode of Skins thrown in however I am guessing Lauren Conrad isn't willing to have sex on television so that didn't help her case. The show apparently wasn't even as racy as the hills and really was going to be about Conrad's career as a designer and author and not about her personal life at all so pretty much the suckiest reality show ever. It would be like The City except minus the awesome bitch that is Olivia Palermo.
In a direct statement to Entertainment Weekly, Conrad said, "MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life.? We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn? t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it."
In response, Head of Programming for MTV David Janollari told EW, ? It was a great attempt but it just didn? t feel like a perfect fit for us now,? according to CNN.
