ParenthoodThe multi-generational sweet family drama that isn't as funny as Modern Family but equally as entertaining was renewed for a second season! How could NBC not renew a show that was actually beating ratings-powerhouse The Good Wife on a consistent basis. Some of the story lines are definitely stronger than others like Lauren's Graham character dating her daughter's teacher and crush (John Ritter) as she tries to rebuild her life. Adam and Kristina's (the always excellent Peter Krause and Monica Potter) struggle to deal with their son who was just diagnosed with Asberger's as well as their annoying daughter Haddie's first romance. Perfect daughter Erica Christensen's storyline is a little less interesting though you know eventually she is going to question her career and her perfect stay-at-home husband may get tired (he already flirted with that Buddhist hoe mother). I am least interested in Dax Shepard because it is Dax Shepard and the whole his kid becoming totally connected to him and the family automatically is a little too weird. Plus Joy Bryant is way too good for him. The Braverman grand-children are also great actors led by Mae Whitman. Us Weekly also reported that Peter Krause and Lauren Graham are dating in real life (I thought they had a little too much chemistry for brothers and sisters) which adds a bit of intrigue to the show! Parenthood airs on NBC on Tuesdays at 10 pm.
