Fool's GoldI mean I did like the first one they were in together ("How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" of course.) When I first saw the trailer for "Fool's Gold" I remember thinking to myself isn't it sad that both Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey already hit their career peaks (Kate with "Almost Famous" and Matthew with "A Time to Kill") but after I watched the trailer a few more times I thought this film may actually be worth seeing. I mean yes it is a predictable romantic comedy but how many predictable romantic comedies involve treasure hunting? "Fool's Gold" is sortuv Treasure Island meets "You've Got Mail" (if that is even possible.) Kate and Matt play an estranged married couple who I guess got together over their mutual love of treasure hunting (because apparently that is an actual real hobby and not just a pursuit of people who live in NeverNeverland.) Anyway, they need money or something so looking for treasure seems like the most logical way to get it and along the way they get caught up in a series of high-jinks which includes a plane tumbling on the water. Anyway the trailer looks fun and the colors in the movie are brilliantly bright so if you can't be somewhere warm you may as well watch somewhere warm. Kate and Matt
