I've always been a big Kathleen Turner fan. She starred in some of the best movies of the 80s: Prizzi's Honor, Romancing the Stone, War of the Roses - If you haven't seen any of these I highly recommend them all. Great stories, great acting ... they just don't make 'em like that anymore.
Kathleen went from being an A-List sex symbol to a nobody when health issues and alcoholism took their toll on her once-gorgeous face. For years now she's been starring on the stage, wowing viewers and critics alike ... as long as she was sober.
Kathleen has now released her autobiography, Send Yourself Roses, and The Daily Mail has printed excerpts in three parts, all accessible via the link. Kathleen talks about how she's overcome obstacles to be happy and successful as a mature actress. Especially juicy are her accounts of working with leading men like Michael Douglas, who she fell in love with until he reconciled with his wife, and Nicholas Cage, who she obviously couldn't stand. Best of all is her account of working with Burt Reynolds. If he's as much of a dick as she says he is, he deserves to be as washed-up and toupeed as he is.
She also talks about her 20
She also talks about her 20 year marriage and recent seperation. They have remained friends after all they have been through. In some of the excerpts I have read on Daily Mail, she says she would call her husband, Jay Weiss, and he would calm her down and keep her going. Now that is a truly dedicated husband. I work for www.firstwivesworld.com and he just recently added and article and video of our divorce expert Debbie Nigro interviewing Jay Weiss and he had nothing but lovely things to say about her. It is definitely a positive thing being able to be friends after a marriage of 20 years, that is a long time together.
Just my two cents.
