Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler in P.S. I Love YouLately it seems that every movie trailer I see has some sort of talking animal in it (or maybe that is just because I see a lot of films with talking animals) but I have seen a few upcoming romcoms that look alright. Of course, "27 Dresses" with Katherine Big-mouth Heigl looks quite cute and frankly, you can't go wrong if James Marsden is in a film. Then there is "P.S. I Love You" with Hilary Swank which at first I thought looked horrendous (partly that is because I have had trouble looking at Hilary Swank since "Boy's Don't Cry" because it was just such an upsetting story and her performance was riveting) but lately it has been growing on me. Partly because it co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Gerard Butler (hottie from "The 300"), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (hottie from "Grey's Anatomy") and Harry Connick Jr. (hottie from Will&Grace and bringer of joyous Christmas music) and Hil's outfits look real cute in it. Plus it would be nice to see her not getting raped, killed or being a reaper.
Then I saw the trailer for "Made of Honor" starring Patrick Dempsey (he has been a busy boy on his haituses from Grey's) and Michelle Monaghan. The premise of the film is stupid (guy realizes his wonderful and gorgeous female best friend is his one true love but meanwhile she was in Scotland getting engaged to a hunky lad and so she makes him her maid of honor.) This could be dull but the trailer looked quite cute and consisted of McDreamy crashing into waiters a lot which is a nice change of pace.
