According to the New York Times via People, MSNBC is in preliminary talks with the great poet and her peeps about a prime-time talk show that would compete directly with Larry King Live. Cable could be a better fit than network TV for Rosie as she'd be less constrained from expressing her various opinions.
With all the recent talk about Larry seeming to be out of touch with current stars and events, the time could be ripe for a changing of the guard. I'm not sure King's audience would gravitate toward Rosie's often controversial style, and she may well have trouble booking guests if she starts blathering like she does on her blog. I just hate it when smart people go out of their way to make themselves look stupid.
