ReaperHot non-likely hero lead? Check (this time instead of a perky and somewhat annoying Sarah Michelle Gellar, the very reluctant but charming Brett Harrison). Hilarious sidekick? Check (Xander was hilarious and now Tyler Labine works the whole Jack Black angle). Beautiful love interest? Angel (David Boreanaz) and Andy (Missy Peregym who is almost too pretty) would have a hot baby. A hard-working and funny entourage? Cordelia, Giles and Willow are slightly beating Rick Gonzalez as Ben but give him time. And then of course a charming villian. In Buffy it was Spike and in Reaper it is the devil himself played by the wonderful Ray Wise who actually acts as a tough but really good father figure. Basically both these stories are about people in a rut who are put in extraordinary situations that have to do with scary, dead things. And what could be better than that? Reaper is on Tuesday nights at 9 on the CW11.
