Beyonce NYC: Beyonce: so internationally known, she can't tell where she is.
Beyonce leaves the Spotted Pig in New York City over the weekend. While Mrs. Hova is no stranger to being fashion forward (let's just pretend there's no House of Dereon for argument's sake), dare I say she's tackled one too many trends here?
First things first, the beret. Fall is practically upon us and berets with long, shinning locks are soon to be all the rage again this season, but naysayers beware....it's been in the mid-80's in New York City for the past week. Perhaps Beyonce isn't too hip to a little thing my pal and yours, Al Gore, likes to call "global warming."
On it's own, I could look pass the inappropriately cast beret, but amongst offenders #2 and #3, I simply cannot.
Two: the mock vest. Vests are great, don't get me wrong, and seem to be popular with the rebirth of men's wear for women that I see everywhere I turn. But girl, it's go hard or go home! Don't rock a printed t-shirt posing as a vest! Do us a favor, and inVEST in a real one. We understand you're worldly (you're wearing a beret, for crying out loud) but don't feel the need to include as many trends as possible on that bootylicious bod.
And three, the final crime...the high-rise, wide legged pants. The beauty of these charcoal lean "I've-got-legs-for-days"pants are that they are in fact, so flattering. By themselves, with perhaps a simple white t-shirt, or form fitting tank, and a load of accessories, this item would steal the spotlight solo! Accentuating Beyonce's shapely figure and really letting her exude her natural beauty in face of such simplicity.
Ready B? Just be warned, one hot fall trend is enough for you, for me and most probably for Jay. Be easy.
I can't lie; I kind of like
I can't lie; I kind of like what she's got going on...whereas, usually I find no happiness in her wardrobe selection. Maybe it's just the fresh face (barely-there makeup) look that's throwing me off?
