At least not every day. Simply put, it's knowing their roles and playing them well. If Guy is a good boy and plays by the rules, Mommy will let him sleep on the big bed tonight, not that cold, hard little doggy bed in the maid's quarters.

Gosh, I just love what she's done with her hair. Look at the arc on those curls - I bet she can divert air traffic from the Netherlands with just a toss of her head. And that nail color is just divine on Mr. Richie.
All kidding aside, Mr. and Mrs. Madonna appear to have a good marriage because they don't usurp each other's roles. Madonna has stopped pretending she can act, and Guy has stopped pretending he's not afraid of her. After the last time she picked him up and spun him around he figured he should just cut his losses. Besides, he's got a nice place to live and all the fish and chips he can eat. He doesn't even have to work.
Guy has adjusted to life as a squire about town fairly well. He's learned to speak only when spoken to, and will wear whatever ridiculously ugly things Madge orders him to. He even manages to stay calm when she snuggles up late at night ... as long as she doesn't touch him with those bony old lady hands. Then he has to bite the pillow or he'll scare the kids.
