I had heard of Jodie in the past, a kind of upstart to Kate. There were rumors of bad blood between the two, but that's not uncommon in high-end fashion shows. If you starved yourself for three years you'd be cranky, too. But still, look at the stick-thin arms on this ... mantis girl.
Hasn't eaten since 1996
Jodie has finally one-upped Kate, but I'm sure this isn't the contest she was hoping to win, and it may have already cost her everything. Jodie got caught selling coke to undercover reporters in the UK (and they're worse than the law over there), and is now forced to live in shame while all of her lucrative contracts dry up.
Jodie was spokesmodel for Marks & Spencer of High Street (kind of like a British Bergdorf Goodman), but they've yanked her half-million-dollar contract out from under her. She enjoyed huge success as the face of the M & S credit card and helped shill home and auto insurance for the company. A spokesperson said, "M & S doesn't do drugs. Period." Also in peril is her contract with Maserati, whom she represented at a number of events; they're even thinking of confiscating the car they gave her. That's gotta hurt.
Jodie hopes to just keep a low profile and ride out the storm; she claims to be hard up for cash after an ugly divorce last year. The fact that she's been exposed as a dealer in a national publication means she can't count on that business for cash flow, either, and she doesn't look strong enough to work a fast food counter for an eight-hour shift. Models on welfare ... how sad.
