When Phil Spector first went on trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson, he didn't care what the jury thought of him - he thought his fame and power would win him acquittal. Guess he's a little worried now.

Phil looks so thoughtful, pensive ... his hair says teen idol struggling with sexual identity but his face says arrogant starmaker who may have beaten his last broad. He's brought in some of the biggest names in criminal law - Dr. Henry Lee, Michael Baden (whose wife is also member of the defense team) - none of them have been able to shake the picture prosecutors are painting of a raging megalomaniac who used a gun to intimidate women unimpressed with his natural equipment into spreading their legs for him.
Lana Clarkson was not the unbalanced party here. Starting with his ex-wife, Ronnie, Phil has left an unsightly trail of battered, frightened women whose only mistake was being with Phil when his high wore off and he wanted to bust a nut before retiring for the night.
Is this trial going to end up being another legal farce like the OJ Simpson case? Is the legal system going to let another abusive predatory scumbag get away with murder? Lana Clarkson wasn't rich and famous; does that make her death any less important? Doesn't her family deserve to see the man who shoved a gun into her mouth so hard that it broke her front teeth pay for what he did? He was probably pissed because he couldn't get it up and she laughed at him.
