Naughty girlPaula Zahn used to be the golden girl of network and cable news. Attractive and articulate, she scored a sweet $25 million per year deal from CNN, only to have it expire this year as her star faded. Unfortunately for Paula, this was just the beginning of a whole rat's nest of woes.
Paula is in the midst of a thorougly nasty divorce from her husband of 20 years, Roger Cohen. Their split came about when Roger discovered that Paula had been shagging one of his best friends, multimillionaire Paul Fribourg. The revelation of their affair also destroyed Paul's marriage.
While Paula and Roger have yet to file formal divorce papers, Paula filed suit against Roger on August 24, accusing him of mismanaging her millions by making "dubious investments". Just this week, Roger answered the charges with a little smear of his own: He says there's no freakin' way he mismanaged her money because she spent it faster than she was making it. It is said that the cost of her mansion in Connecticut was more than she made during their two decades of marriage.
Also damaging to Paula's case is the discovery of a "sex book" that documented her torrid affair with her husband's buddy in explicit detail. Worse yet, the lurid diary was allegedly found by their 17-year-old daughter. Bet that made for some lovely dinnertime conversation. Paula has since moved out of the family's Fifth Avenue apartment.
