While we admire their efforts and think it can only be good for Beatrice, their presence in the same rarefied ultrarich setting is wreaking havoc with event planners from Southampton to Montauk, as no one wants to risk an accidental meeting between the two when their daughter isn't there to act as buffer.
Things seem to have gone off without a hitch, and Sir Paul has emerged largely intact and in good spirits. In fact, he was seen smiling and talking closely with Uptown Girl Christie Brinkley at a recent benefit concert. They looked like they were having a grand time. Now they would make an interesting couple!
