According to our good buddy Perez Hilton, it's all fake, fake, fake ... and the ring was considerably cheaper than the new rack, although we all know douche boy probably didn't buy either.
Will turn her finger greenWhat exactly is a lab grown diamond? Is it like gemological in vitro? Do they wave a real diamond over a test tube and wait for it to spawn? Or is it just a fancy schmancy term for something a cheap weasel will buy his brainless meal ticket to keep her quiet?
I've never watched the Hills, nor do I have any intention of doing so. I think they're all a bunch of vapid losers who hopefully have the sense to invest their earnings wisely. It'll be a fast 15 minutes for them. If they have any doubt, show them the mall where Gary Coleman works security. Oh, wait, he couldn't even keep that job. In ten years, Spencer will be chain-smoking manager of a seedy hotel on the strip that charges by the hour, and Heidi will be seating diners at the local Red Lobster.
I don't know if I read it on
I don't know if I read it on your site or another but it was reported that he didn't even have to pay for the ring--that it was totally free. He also claims it's not an engagement ring but a "promise" ring and says they're only doing it for the cameras.
With such a tremendous
With such a tremendous audience you should be more careful about how you frame a topic. A lab-grown diamond isn't just cheap. I don't know who Spencer or Heidi are but I imagine Spencer was thoughtful enough to consider the destructive nature of the mining industry. He obviously did not want to contribute to De Beer's ridiculous price fixing and contributions to African civil wars. Secondly, he did not want to contribute to the huge environmental impact that our fondness for natural stones has. The stupid $700 lab grown diamond you show from Ice Accessories is not a "cultured diamond" it is a lab grown diamond stimulant, either something similar to Mossainite or fancy CZ. A real lab grown white or blue diamond is very expensive ($5000 for 1 ct). There are only a few companies that make them. What they do is take molten carbon under intense pressure with a small starter and recreate the carbon lattice that makes a diamond. Hopefully, people will begin to realize that is ironic and harmful to purchase a real diamond that has ruined the lives of hundreds of poor miners and destroyed large areas of the environment across Africa, Canada, and all our continents. You really shouldn't pass judgment so quickly on someone that likely was educated and felt compassion for human rights and the environment. Good work Spencer. May you encourage more people to get beautiful Cultured Diamonds.
