Soon it will be getting much worse. Disney is planning to turn the movie trilogy into a TV series. Hopefully it will be on cable so I never have to hear about it.
Execs say "the film has been such a success with spin-offs such as toys and video games and books, it only seems right to do a TV series". That's true, it is only right to try and squeeze every last dime out of the franchise. They are also in hopes of attracting famous guest stars. I can't wait to see Don Cheadle as a young Jack Sparrow's next door neighbor. Or Hilary Swank as his 4th grade teacher. I just hope that cute little monkey is somehow incorporated.
