In all fairness, I don't think Joey ever really went away, and that is a key part of having a comeback. He is just a low key, singing on Broadway kind of fellow. He doesn't need the adoration and huge stadium tours like Justin. Joey's just more secure. Hosting a game show seems like the way to go now a days. There is a laundry list of celebs who have breathed life into their careers by getting a sweet gig like that, Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel, David Hasselhoff etc etc etc. Have you seen The Singing Bee?
I am not saying "America's Got Talent" is any better. In fact it is worse (that's for another rant entirely). "Bee" is just an odd premise to begin with. There are Bee fly girls, it has it's own jaunty theme song and Joey is the ringmaster of it all. A jolly ringmaster that also mouths the words to Smash Mouth songs as they cut to commercials. I think you can do better, Joe.
In closing, watch The Singing Bee. Hate it while you sing. Get mad that you are playing along. Watch Joey do a half assed "Bye Bye Bye" dance. And be sure not to watch it with me, I get venomous.
