Greek showSo most ABC Family shows are usually pretty mediocre. Who can forget the amazing Wild Fire? Oh wait I did. Or how about Beautiful People? It should have been called annoying idiotic people (okay that was cheap) and then of course there is Kyle XY which I still don't understand the appeal of at all (everyone on that show is scary looking). So when I saw the commercials for the new show Greek I didn't really give it a second thought. However, I was curious to watch it because I myself had been in a sorority. So I was genuinely surprised when the show actually turned out to be pretty funny and somewhat realistic. It showed that fraternity guys can be douches but charming as well and the main characters played by Jacob Zachar and Spencer Grammer (that is a girl) seemed real, especially the dorkily cute Zachar. They also showed a lot of drinking which definitely made it seem authentic. And though you think Grammer's Casey Cartwright is just your stereo-typical bitchy sorority girl (as all films portray them as) she shows a little bit more depth then say the girls in Sorority Boys (terrible movie but actually quite funny). The show also featured some gay fraternity boys which was pretty bold for ABC Family and some cute guys which is always nice. Anyway, it looks promising and I am sure they will rerun it 800 times so check it out.
I know...it's great that ABC
I know...it's great that ABC Family has expanded to include this type of show!!?
I mean...kids are part of the American family...a lot of 'em go to college and have (somewhat...) similar experiences...so why not??!
I think I may have found my new summer show!!!
