Teri Hatcher and daughterNot to say that it is bad to be best friends with your daughter. Hey they made an entire show about that called Gilmore Girls (and you only wanted to slap them about 20% of the time) but little Emerson is no Rory Gilmore. First of all, she is kinduv young to be the best friend for a 40-something woman unlike Rory who was in her teens. However, it may be the whole fact that Teri has been a single mom (she is divorced from Jon Tenney) for a long time and her daughter stuck by her even when she wasn't on a hit show (oh wait she had to).
Their relationship just strikes me as slightly unhealthy, much like the Gilmore Girls, because Terry and Emerson often dress alike (in matching crocs and cowboy hats) and Terry even admitted that one of the main reasons her marriage failed was because she was totally consumed by motherhood. "I didn't think beyond that," she said. Terry also didn't have a boyfriend for a long time. Maybe it was because she was going on dates with her daughter (yeah Teri. Maybe that is why it didn't work out with George Clooney. You know Clooney doesn't want kids). Anyway, Teri brought Emerson as her date to Eva Longoria's wedding which I guess is sweet.
