Emma as Nancy DrewWhat is really sad is I didn't even read the books growing up. I chose to spend my time on the classics like The Baby-Sitters Club (the SuperSpecials were damn good). A girl solving mysteries was never that appealing to me (plus they started making Baby Sitter's Mysteries which filled my curiosity void if I ever had one) but for some reason the movie just looks so adorable. Yes it is geared for the tweens but you know all the mothers who read the book will go and I even I who is neither a tween nor a mother wants to see it. Mostly because I think Emma Roberts is genuinely talented and so perfectly cast for Perfect with a capitol P Nancy. I think she will probably have a career resembling her aunt Julia's more so than her father, Eric Roberts (apparently he once had a career). Plus I love that chubby little kid (you can call him by Josh Flitter if you don't want to say chubby little kid) that was in The Greatest Game Ever Played and will be in License to Wed. Yes he plays the same character in every film but he does it so well.
