And for the seven people at home watching they got to see stars like Claire Danes, Zach Braff, Billy Crudup (who won one), Christina Applegate, Usher, Anika Nonnie Rose (the 3rd dreamgirl) and even Donny Osmond (so creepy) pretend they were real thespians who appreciate theater. Of course some of them have done like theater like Applegate in the revival of the musical Sweet Charity but Zach Braff? I am pretty sure he just thought this would look good on his resume. Though maybe he is a true musical theater fan as he said when he introducted a song from the amazing rock musical "Spring Awakening." Claire Danes got to see her ex-boyfriend, schmuckt Billy crudup, take home the Tony (over his prematurely aging co-star Ethan Hawke. He should have never left Uma) but she has hot and British Hugh Dancy to go home to so she should be okay. She turned out not to have a very so-called life.

I assume you are not aware that Donny Osmond performed over 2000 performances on stage as Joseph in the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Or that he was Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and raised ticket sales enough to be asked back to play the last show as Gaston to the VIP only performance. I don't think Mr. Osmond needs to "pretend" to be a thespian. And the creepy comment...ah not called for...I've met him many times...far from creepy.

I had forgotten about Mr.Osmond's great run in Joseph and I was not aware of what he did for Beauty and the Beast. I have not met him but I have always perceived a smug vibe from him and I felt at the Tony's he took his oppurtunity as a nominee to boast himself but I guess he may have something to boast about. I honestly did not mean to offend you I am really just trying to go for a laugh. -Meredith
