What we do know is this: Pharrell Williams threw a 30th birthday party for Kanye West at the Louis Vuitton at Saks in New York City. Everyone had a great time, lots of celebrities, lots of bubbly, lots of photo ops ... everything a self-centered megalomaniac could want in a birthday. But at the end of the night, some fairly significant discrepancies in store inventory came to light.
There's no word from store security on whether surveillance cameras were in use at the time of the shindig, which was after normal hours of operation. Since Pharrell was the one who threw the party, it's assumed that he'd be liable for the missing merchandise, unless it's covered by store insurance.
Maybe it's a case of celebrity swagolepsy - the rich and famous are so used to being able to walk into a store or swag suite and just loading up and walking off, they just do it wherever they go. And what do they do with all this stuff they get? Do they wear it once and throw it away? Do they donate it to family members and write it off? Maybe that's why they have to live in mansions - otherwise they'd be buried in useless shit they'll never use.
