This shot is just one from an upcoming Elle spread, and the only one that's a bit of a gender bender, but it makes us wonder once again about Kelly. Like another American Idol contestant (one whose name rhymes with shea bacon) whose sexual orientation was questioned, Kelly has chosen to remain mum about her personal life. And while I'm understandably curious, I'll be the first to agree that it's really none of my business.
Kelly has been having a bit of a tough time lately, what with her battles with record company executive Clive Davis over artistic control of her new album - he said it sucked, she said it didn't; she pushed to get the album released anyway and won out, but it's going nowhere fast. Maybe Clive was right - six out of the eleven tunes on the disc were written by Clarkson and to be honest, she's pretty new to the industry - what if they did suck?
The music industry does seem to be in a bit of a lull right now. Other than Amy Winehouse, what other really hot acts are out there - there are plenty of remakes and reunions, but not a lot of originality going on. Same thing for the movies. How long do you think it will be before we see "Gilligan's Island" get a three-hour treatment, a three-hour treatment? Ouch. My editor is going to stomp me for that one.

All 14 songs on this disc were written by Kelly, and sorry to disappoint you, but, I believe that picture was tongue in cheek, because Clive didn't want Kelly to release her cd as is, because she wrote all the songs, and as was said in the Elle interview, they didn't feel a woman could have as much writing cred as a man. Thus the picture.
