In what could only be described as one of the most disturbing gossip items of all time, the Post Chronicle is reporting that Debra Opri's money-hungry machinations may have begun spinning out of control at Anna Nicole's funeral, where numerous witnesses claim she attempted to console a bereft Howard K. Stern by groping him repeatedly and thoroughly.
Her client at the time, Larry Birkhead, had requested that she not attend the funeral, apparently uneasy with her eagerness for publicity. Against his wishes, she crashed the already gawdy and over-the-top event. What many onlookers found particularly galling was the way she trash-talked Stern before and after her hands-on treatment.
The Anna Nicole saga has been a potential gold mine for someone who is said to be as hungry for fame as the D-listers she represents. And like a wannabe starlet with little talent and even less scruples, Opri doesn't seem to let ethics or rules get in her way. She is reported to have told Larry Birkhead that she would represent him pro bono in his fight for little Danielynn, only to slap him with over $600,000 in fees to justify taking 80% of the fees for tabloid TV coverage of their story.
Her current high-profile case in the courts is the Hasselhoff-Bach divorce case, which was already pretty muddy, with allegations of drug use and drunken burger debauchery. With a twisted sister like Opri throwing her hat in the ring, anything could happen, including yet another Baywatch remake. Wonder how Opri looks in a Speedo.
