So a gentlemen who wasn't a stellar performer somehow made it into a once prestigious position on one of the most addicting reality shows ever. How Sanjaya ever made it as far as he did is an amusing mystery. Or just the vote for the worst campaign in action.
TMZ received a video of Sanjaya exposing himself as an art student at the Rhode Island School of Design. He explained his stint on Idol as being part of his "thesis". His name is really Bill. He is 25. At face value, this video seems to be saying there is no Sanjaya. That would mean his wikipedia entry was a well crafted lie!
Either this has all been an amazing farce; so amazing it boarders on genius. Or Sanjaya (or perhaps a convincing look alike?) is desperate to remain a media darling. Either way, I hope it all continues to unravel. What fun it would be if Sanjaya was a fake! That sneaky bastard!
