Dr. Phil is a smarmy, self-righteous, hypocritical douche, plain and simple. For some ungodly reason, Oprah thought she saw some potential in him - maybe birds of a feather flock together? (Oops, guess I'll never make it to the book club now!)
From his humble beginnings as her resident authority on self-help, Dr. Phil has dared to tread where even Maury and Phil Donahue would not. And let's face it, the whole talk show industry has really lowered the bar in recent years. How else do you explain a fat, bald, overbearing blowhard becoming an authority on self-improvement? It boggles the mind.
Unfortunately, Dr. Fatass has forgotten where he came from and who buttered his first pieces of toast. He chafed under Oprah's control and was obnoxious to his staff. Oprah, who likes all of her men leash-trained and muzzled, wasn't having any of that and has distanced herself, causing his show's ratings to take a nosedive. Sources say it will take nothing short of a miracle to save it from cancellation.
Don't worry, Dr. Phil. I'm sure there's room for you on the next Surreal Life.

I think Dr. Phil is here to
I think Dr. Phil is here to stay. I agree that some of his shows are not as good as they used to be.....but he faces problems that one one else faces. I do not watch him because of the man. I watch the show because of the good advice. It is a great show!
