Al puts his life on the line every day so that he can continue to enjoy the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed. Once a fixture in a flamboyant Manhattan party circuit of a certain persuasion, Al has adjusted well to life in captivity.
Once simply a competent investment banker, Al's role as Star's life partner and love muffin have brought him to thresholds he could never have hoped to experience in his former life. Above all, he has a newfound awe and respect for the amazing elasticity of skin.
"I never could have pictured this back in my days of riding the banquette down in the Bowery," says Al with a wistful grin. "If I close my eyes and wish real hard, I'm almost there again."
