The arresting kiss by Richard Gere with a Bollywood actress: Shilpa Shetty...seems tame here in the US, but, extremists claim the 'cheeky' kiss might be a crime because it might give "lonely old men" ideas that they can get a hot chick...we do wonder if the girl in question was not a 'pretty woman' -- or if it wasn't Richard Gere the famous actor-- would anyone really care...and more importanly, how do 'Exhibitionists' in India get their jollies?
Yea, yea, yea...we heard that any 'public displays of affection' are 'taboo in India' -- we heard about the crowds burning effigies...and even silly arrest warrants were issued for both Gere and Shetty...accusing the couple of committing an "obscene act." -- Um, the real obscene act here is that CNN and other media outlets treated this like big news.
