Bruce Springsteen
Feeling like the 'old dude' at the party, Bruce Springsteen, acoustic guitar and harmonica in hand, hit the stage right after the last act exited at his own tribute @ Carnegie Hall. The crowd leapt to its feet as he said, "The good news...I'm not dead yet."
Springsteen shared his thoughts on the evening, noting how it was both "lovely and harrowing" to see his songs performed.
After singing the abridged "Rosalita," Springsteen called all the performers back to the stage for a group sing-along, this time for the complete, seven-minute "Rosalita." The Boss shouted for them to "trash the hell out of the thing." -- Because it's Easter and all...we'll give the boss a pass; but, next time just sit your ass down and let somebody else sing your praises.
